|Ask your Member of Congress to Support More Federal Funding for Public Charter Schools!
Four public charter school champions in the U.S. House of Representatives are seeking support for an increase in federal funds for the federal Charter Schools Program (CSP).
Reps. Jared Polis (D-CO), Tom Petri (R-WI), Rush Holt (D-NJ) and Duncan Hunter (R-CA) will send a letter to the House Appropriations Labor-HHS-Education Subcommittee urging their support for $300 million—a $45 million increase—in funding for the CSP.
Please encourage YOUR member of Congress to sign this letter!
How Your Help Will Make a DIFFERENCE
Public charters schools are the fastest growing sector of America’s public education system, with more than 6,000 public charters schools serving 2.3 million students. The CSP is vital in helping to cover the costs of launching successful public charter schools, and states with access to CSP funds have opened up more than 90 percent of the new charter schools across the country.
Please write your Representative asking him or her to sign the Polis-Petri-Holt-Hunter letter today! Writing your Representative is easy: the letter is already written, and all you have to do is fill in your information and “click” send when you’re done. Click here to send you letter now.
Thank you for helping to secure federal funding to keep the public charter school movement growing.
