Application Process Information

The Richard Allen Preparatory Charter School (RAPCS) is a public charter school serving grades 5-8. Like all charter schools, if more students apply for a specific grade than there are open spaces, RAPCS chooses students by a lottery conducted each April. The school maintains a waiting list after the lottery process and places are offered to students on the waiting list as they become available. To apply, parents or guardians need to fill out an application (available online and online at the school). All prospective students must attend one of our information sessions. Sessions are held during the evening and on Saturdays in the spring (dates will be provided). During the information session, parents are requested to supply a copy of the child's birth certificate, a copy of the child's social security card and proof of residence (mortgage, lease, utility bill). At these sessions we explain what we expect of our children and our families and what they can expect from us. Click Here To Apply Online
