Harrisburg — This morning, the General Assembly sent Governor Wolf the final components of the 2019-20 budget, including the School Code bill (HB 1615) and several other education-related bills that were passed over the past few days.

The following is in response to The Philadelphia Inquirer’s political cartoon from Thursday, June 6 (Pa. cyber schools got their report card) from Ana Meyers, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools (PCPCS).
PCPCS organized a counter-protest to an anti-cyber charter school rally at the Capitol on Tuesday, the same day the House considered a slate of bills that would impose new regulations on the state’s charter sector.
