Lincoln Charter School Invites Community Partners to MLK Sunday Supper Event
York, Pennsylvania – November 1, 2023 – Lincoln Charter School is pleased to announce the upcoming Lincoln Charter School MLK Sunday Supper, set to take place on January 14, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at our school located at 559 West King Street, York, PA 17401. This event is organized in partnership with the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools and is dedicated to fostering community togetherness and promoting mental health awareness.
This year, our MLK Sunday Supper will center around the vital theme of mental health awareness. We are honored to have Advocate Lisa Kennedy from the York County Department of Human Services lead our conversation on the “Mental Health Summit: the conversation continues.” This event aims to create an open dialogue and offer support to individuals in need of mental health treatment, striving to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage empathy, compassion, and understanding in our community.
We are inviting the support and collaboration of local businesses and organizations to become community partners for this event. Your involvement will be essential in creating a meaningful and impactful gathering. We kindly request your permission to use your logo on our promotional materials, your commitment to attend the event, and contributions to Mental Wellness Kits that will be distributed to those seeking mental health support. These kits are designed to provide comfort and inspiration, and we welcome donations of items such as journals, teas, essential oils, photographs, handwritten notes, bath bombs, fuzzy socks, and sweet treats.
All donations will be gratefully accepted and distributed to the York County Human Service Department and local shelters, where they will have a significant impact on individuals in need of support.
