REGISTER NOW! ACT 55 Board Training

Beginning in the 2018-2019 school year, school board directors and charter school trustees are required to complete training programs pursuant to Act 55 of 2017. School board directors or charter school trustees appointed as of July 1, 2018 will be required to complete the initial four-hour training program required under Act 55 during their first year in office.

Charter Schools Respond to School District’s Request to Reduce Tuition Rates

This afternoon, a letter was sent to the Allentown School District’s board president on behalf of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools (PCPCS), as well as the majority of the brick-and-mortar and cyber charter schools that currently serve students from the Allentown School District.

PCPCS Requests More Information About Governor Wolf’s Charter Proposal From PA’s Secretary of Education

This morning, PCPCS sent a letter to Secretary Pedro Rivera at the PA Department of Education (PDE) to express our concerns with Governor Wolf’s charter school “reform” proposal and request details on PDE’s development of the new regulations/policies Wolf has instituted.
