This week the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools (PCPCS) introduces a new series- My Charter School Story. With negative headlines splashed across news outlets, the hard work of our charter schools is sometimes overshadowed and forgotten. We want to change that. The charter school movement is tied to thousands of individual stories of parents, students, educators, and advocates who together are changing the educational landscape in Pennsylvania.
Charter schools are forged from equal parts passion and persistence, growth and grit, research and renewal. We invite anyone to share their charter school story. It is our goal to share the narrative of parental choice, community activism, and personal stories that shatter the misconceptions about charter schools.
