This morning, the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools (PCPCS) sent a letter to Governor Tom Wolf regarding our grave concerns with the comments he made on July 16 about charter schools. These comments were made during a press conference at the Capitol where the Governor was celebrating the increases in education funding included in the 2019-20 budget. In his remarks, Wolf refers to charter schools as private schools, which is inaccurate. He also mentions the financial drain that cyber charter schools are placing in school districts, which we address in the letter to the Governor.
